Collaborative minisymposia are the major activities of the OSU FORCE program!

WHAT IS IT?
OSU collaborates with a partner university (HBCU, HSI, women’s college/university) to host a half-to-full day event that consist of the following:
-Short (12 minute) research talks by faculty, postdocs and PhD students from OSU and our host institution are given to faculty, staff and students of the host institution. Q+A follows.
-OSU faculty, postdocs and graduate students participate in an academic careers and pathways forum with host institution’s undergraduate and graduate students
-OSU faculty and postdocs meet with host institution’s faculty to discuss ways to collaborate on research, teaching and recruitment
-Informal social (catered breakfast or lunch) between OSU team and host institution to facilitate one-on-one interactions, recruitment and ideation
